How to update phpMyAdmin v4.7.9 outdated version to the latest phpMyAdmin v4.9.2 for CWP and CWP PRO for Centos 7 !
-
@sandeep Why isn't this updated in CWP for everyone? I think it's necessary to keep the system updated. We shouldn't have to do so much work on our part. These things should be done at the CWP level.
-
@Jose-Poyato-Prieto because of autologin integration Its still not updated
-
@sandeep What's wrong with autologin?
In other panels it works well with newer versions of phpmyadmin.
Greetings!

Hi "sandeep" and thanks in advance for the support.
As for PMA, if you could update it to the latest version of phpMyAdmin you would do something that all CWP & CWP PRO users would appreciate.
When you say that a new version is ready for release, do you mean a new version of CWP & CWP PRO ?
Good day.

Im currently working on it

I can post method to use latest phpmyadmin 5.xx
Only autologin will not work if it is okay then i will update the blog post. And cwp update will not reset it. -
@sandeep Hello!
Is it currently safe to upgrade to version 4.9.2 as indicated in the article or can it be overwritten by CWP?
It's just that I've read some users that CWP is going back to the previous version.
Can't the update to 4.9.2 be released from CWP itself? It's always better to be a little more up to date.
-
@sandeep Okay, I tried a test installation and I see that upgrading PhpMyadmin to version 4.9.2 following the guide on your page, makes the autologin not work. Is this normal?
Greetings!
-
@Jose-Poyato-Prieto yep i already mentioned the autologin will not work if upgraded
-
@sandeep Okay, update maria db to 10.4 if I tested it and it works correctly on the test server. This has nothing to do with autologin, right? I mean, I can upgrade maria db to 10.4 without risk of stopping autologin. Is that correct?
-
@Jose-Poyato-Prieto don't update it until you need new features and password harshing. You can update mariadb safely to 10.2

Hi "sandeep"
following your guide https://www.mysterydata.com/how-to-update-phpmyadmin-latest-version-on-cwp-centos-webpanel/ and with some changes, i managed to update phpMyAdmin to the latest version 5.0.2
Obviously the autologin does not work but this is not a problem.
The only problem is that every time CWP and CWP PRO updates reset this phpMyAdmin v5.0.2 upgrade to the old version of phpMyAdmin, can you help me find a solution to this problem ?
Thnks in advance for the support.
